Mission Statement

University College is Old Dominion University's portal to the academic programs available to entering undergraduate students and a facilitator of their progress through the institution and into their careers.  UC coordinates existing University resources and develops new initiatives that promote academic excellence and that enhance the success of first-year and transferring undergraduate students.  The college strives to provide an environment in which students, faculty, staff, and administrators share the responsibility of making Old Dominion University a supportive and challenging environment for learning.
