As stated in the MAT Candidate Information Booklet, the MAT is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies.There are several Equivalent forms of the MAT administered in both computer-based and paper-and-pencil versions.
Results are mailed in approximately 15 business days. Please contact the Admissions Office or the Department in which you plan to study regarding minimum scores and testing requirements for admission to the University you plan to attend. Check with local bookstores if you wish to purchase study guides for MAT test preparation.

Miller Analogies Test - Registration Procedure
To register, please complete and return the attached registration form to the Old Dominion University Experiential Learning and Testing Center (address below). A $10.00 non-refundable registration fee must accompany the registration form. Only checks and money orders are accepted, so please do not send cash. Make check or money order payable to Old Dominion University.The fee and registration forms are valid only for the confirmed test date. If you are unable to attend that session for any reason, you must re-register and pay an additional $10.00. Fees are subject to change.
NOTE: Effective November 1, 2007 - the MAT Fee will be $80.00.
