When are placement tests offered?
Placement tests are offered at various times and days. Please call the Testing Center at 757-683-3697 for more information.
Can results be given over the phone?
No results are given over the phone. They can be picked up within 2 working days or mailed to you.
Can students take makeup exams for instructors?
Students should call 683-6104 to schedule a makeup exam with the Learning Assessment Lab (located in the Gornto Building).
How often are you allowed to take placement tests?
COMPASS - Twice per semester.
Writing Sample Placement Tests - Once every ten weeks.
Is there a fee for placement tests?
There is no fee for the COMPASS or the WSPT. Foreign Language placement test fee is $20.00 check or money order only (NO CASH ACCEPTED. This fee is subject to change).
